Ladypool is a small, friendly and inviting school in the heart of Sparkbrook where we serve a community from a wide range of backgrounds. We pride ourselves on providing an environment where the children know how important their learning is and are committed to achieving their best. As a staff and governing body, we strongly believe that our children are entitled to the best education that we can provide. We are a UNICEF Rights Respecting School and all of our children know that they have the right to learn and play in the safe environment that we provide for them. At Ladypool we have enthusiastic and well-behaved, smart pupils who strive to do well in everything they do; the children are at the heart of every decision we make. We do our utmost to ensure that they are happy and confident and that the opportunities that are provided for them are relevant to their needs both now and in the future. Our school site consists of a Victorian building dating from 1883 which houses pupils from Year 2 to Year 6 and an extension and independent Nursery built in the 1970s which houses Early Years and Year 1. We have a sizeable outdoor space where the children play every day. The staff and governors at Ladypool are devoted to achieving an ambitious vision for the school; we firmly believe that education is a partnership between home and school and we value your input, interest and support.

We do not compete or examine our dancers. It’s wonderful and refreshing to experience a non-competitive environment. When Ruth Anne Rogerson and her daughter Tammy founded Dance London in 1993, they wanted to create a studio that focuses on technical training and the love of dance. A place for everyone to be themselves and just enjoy dance. 25 years later, we are still following the same philosophy. When you take the competitiveness, awards, examinations, and medals out of dance, everyone can just be. Our dancers, parents and faculty don’t compete with one another— instead, they encourage and support each other. Everyone is equal and a part of our family. At Dance London, you become a part of a family that supports and encourages one another. Your child won’t feel left out or overshadowed by others, because no matter their age or skill level everyone is treated equally. Your child will be placed in the best class based on their skill level and age. All 6 – 17-year-old classes are based on skill level and age. This builds our dancers’ confidence by not feeling lost or behind in class. It also gives our high-level dancers the opportunity to keep progressing and not be held back in a class that is not challenging. By grouping dancers together that are in the same age range, they are able to connect and bond socially with their peers. We cap our class size. Instead of packing as many dancers as we can into our classes, we have a maximum number of dancers allowed per class. This allows our faculty to give enough one-on-one attention to each student.

These stages include pre-puberty, puberty, fertility and family planning, peri-/menopause, and post-menopause. We are aiming to develop content that is customized to each user’s literacy level and to present information in a way that is culturally affirming, trans/queer-inclusive, and 100% FREE. 6/10 adults in the UK are unable to understand and act on health information Health literacy costs America an estimated 238 billion dollars annually and the economic health costs of poor health literacy in England is crudely estimated to be 4.95 billion annually. Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic/ Black and Indigenous People of Colour (BAME/BIPOC), trans/queer and other marginalized groups are disproportionately represented in these numbers, making this a human rights and public health issue. EVULVA is designed to improve health literacy and reduce these health inequalities through evidence-based research and the support of BAME/BIPOC community leaders and allied health professionals focusing on needs specific to culturally diverse groups. There are more than 5.8 million results when you type ‘vulvovaginal health’ into google. Some websites will have information that is too difficult for the reader to consume while others will underrepresent cultures, isolating people from obtaining life-saving information about their body.
