Imagine you are driving into work, knowingly 5 minutes late and scheduled to meet with an important client. You feel pressed for time, but are optimistic that you can still make the appointment on time. Then you hit road works and you can see the time slipping away, now your are 12 minutes late, 15 minutes late, 18 minutes late. You start to feel hot as the second click by. Just as you get past the roadwork’s you end up stuck behind a car going 20 miles under the speed limit and it’s making you even later than you already are. You are now 25 minutes late and you can’t get past the car that’s holding you up. How do you see yourself reacting to this? Would you be angrily beeping your horn? Yelling or gesticulating? Would you be distraught, shaking the steering wheel and crying “Why me? Why now?” Would you be crying and pleading for the car in front to just get out of the way? I ask this because our day to day life will always have stressful and unpredicted issues pop up and it’s how we respond to them that reflects what kind of stagnant and trapped emotions we are storing. Was your response angry? Frustrated? Hopeless? Disgusted? Disproportionate? If so, then you may be ripe for an emotional detox. So many of us repress our emotions or get stuck in a repetitive cycle. By removing the negative baggage based in fear, anger, sadness, disgust, envy, and indignation you create room to add more joy, love, trust, anticipation, inner calm and kindness. Releasing negative emotions allows you to experience bliss and to become a more open, free and joyful person that exudes and attracts positivity. I encourage you to let go of negativities and to stop your past defining or weighing you down through the power of emotional detox.

We offer nursery provision in our Daisy and Sunflower classes, in addition to the 190 places in our Reception, Key Stage 1 and DSP classes. Only 19% of the digital tech workforce in the UK is female, compared to 37% across all sectors. It’s proven that the gender gap costs the tech sector time and money, but it also contributes to the challenges we have sourcing talent and widens the digital skills gap. Our exploration of diversity Our journey began in 2013, as Liverpool Girl Geeks. We created a community of like-minded people in Liverpool who wanted to progress gender equality in tech. In the beginning we organised meet ups for adults, but we soon realised that we could make a real difference if we mobilised the community, so we began running educational programmes led by industry with the aim of helping minority groups progress. In 2015 we launched our first educational programmes for teens. We recognised that we needed to work with girls as young as twelve to tackle the gender stereotypes that are so entrenched within women by the time they reach adulthood. What we noticed within our first few cohorts of teen girls was the lack of background diversity. Students that attended were from similar backgrounds, with supportive parents who may already work in tech (or a related field), from mostly white families, who could afford to bring their child to the sessions we were hosting in Liverpool City Centre each week. Our Co-Founders are women who have both grown up in low income families and wanted to make sure that our programmes reached girls from different backgrounds. As two (relatively young!) white women, they were also acutely aware that we needed to work with a diverse set of industry mentors to ensure that we had a broad range of people of all ages, backgrounds and identities to inspire the students. This includes working with male role models too, as we don’t want to exclude anyone from our mission. A turning point was at the Big Bang Fair in 2016, where we were exposed to hundreds of schools across the U.K. The students that attended were from different nationalities, ethic backgrounds and a multitude of faiths. We realised that to engage a truly diverse range of young people we had to remove all barriers to them accessing our programmes. Shortly afterwards we rebranded as InnovateHer and took our educational programmes into schools. We prioritised working in disadvantaged areas across Liverpool and Manchester. Since then we have worked with girls from a broad range of backgrounds; including families who are asylum seekers, looked after children, girls in faith schools and girls who identify as non-binary, trans or queer.

Avonbourne Boys' and Girls' Academies are two co - located schools that joined United Learning in 2019 with lessons being taught in a single - sex environment in Years 7-9, with opportunities for mixed sex teaching from Year 10 onwards . This has proved to be hugely successful with resources, staffing expertise and curriculum opportunities now being fully utilised for the benefit of all students at the Academies. Co-location has been seen by all stakeholders as offering the ‘best of both’, which I believe provides our students with the best possible chance of educational success. The school also hosts the United Sixth Form and provides teaching of the highest quality, excellent facilities, a caring and supportive environment, as well as delivering a comprehensive range of social and enrichment activities. As an organisation, we expect everyone to embrace our core REACH values of respect, equality, ambition, community, hard work & determination. After qualifying, Rachel spent 12 years in senior roles within charities ranging from the British Tinnitus Association, to the Institute of Cancer Research. Rachel has over 20 years’ experience supporting a variety of social impact organisations from small charities to major research institutions. We are not, in our experience, as good, when it comes to our financial storytelling. All too often, the financial stories which we tell ourselves and those who wish to work with us, constrain our potential. Our lack of financial confidence - in our numbers and in our decision making - holds us back. But less so at financial stories Yet, we know that it is when changemakers really embrace the finances, own the numbers, understand the stories behind the numbers, use these stories to marry money with mission, they can extend their social impact and realise fully their social ambitions. We also know that for many changemakers, the biggest barrier to owning the numbers is not technical but attitudinal. We are told that keeping on top of the numbers can be boring, difficult, anxiety provoking. We help you find your financial story That is why we bring our love of numbers to all of our work. Our love of numbers, all numbers, enables us to bring the same clarity to your financial storytelling as you bring to the social storytelling. The Sapphire Project Organisation is an exciting new modern-day service for adults age 18 and over living with a learning disability. We want to understand what people want from their support, and to make sure that families and friends know how we will help them to make it happen. We offer a unique learning environment for our service users and although support needs may differ, we know that with the right support, people with learning disabilities can live full and meaningful lives. Aims Our aim is for service users to develop competence, respect, dignity, responsibility, independence and to promote their inclusion within the local working community. Working closely with service users we aim to find out what their passions are and wherever possible assist with overcoming challenges and removing barriers in order to enable them to live more fulfilling lives. What we offer Service users are offered the opportunity to develop transferable work skills, enterprise skills, independence skills, practical skills and social skills all within a variety of settings while being supported by qualified staff. Our project includes a café, a licensed bar and a kitchen garden all of which is open to the general public. We also offer a opportunities to develop general maintenance and wood working skills. Service users also have the opportunity to carry out a number of routine domestic tasks to help develop their independent living skills. These include, planning and shopping, cooking meals, basic housekeeping, getting out and about in the community and residential experiences. We support people in developing work and independence skills whilst having fun and making friends. Our aim is to break down barriers and to promote inclusion within the local community. What Makes Us Unique? We want to offer people the chance to learn valuable life skills along with work skills and our base at Hillsborough Arena provides us with numerous opportunities to achieve this objective. We offer an attractive, non-institutional environment with a team of committed staff with a very low rate of staff turnover, so people can develop strong, beneficial relationships over many years. We also offer a dedicated key worker to overlook and support the needs of both the service user along with the parent/carers. We want to understand what people want from their support, and make sure that families and friends know how we will help them to make it happen. With over two decades experience supporting pet carers pre, during and post the death of their much loved pets, Dawn Murray is one of the UK’s leading pet bereavement counsellors. Dawn has always, and continues to, provide her counselling services free of charge. Amongst her qualifications Dawn has Diploma's in Pet Bereavement Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and worked for many years as a Pet Undertaker. She is a qualified CPD presenter. Recognised as an expert in her field Dawn is described by the press as a 'Pet Bereavement Specialist'. Dawns work as a pet undertaker was highlighted in a BBC documentary and she is regularly asked to participate in both local and national Radio and television programmes, and most recently she was invited onto the 'PM' show on BBC Radio 4 where she was asked to discuss pet bereavement after Prince William and Catherine lost their dog, Lupo. Dawns unique style allows clients to feel at ease safe in the knowledge that she will support and guide them through their darkest days and clients are referred to her by Veterinary Schools and Doctors. She has experienced pet bereavement many times herself and fully understands the devastating impact a loss like this can have on your life. Dawn is also the founder of Ray of Hope and has raised thousands of pounds over the years to help animal charities. Dawn has also provided pet bereavement training free of charge to charities here in the UK for many years including most recently the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home and Canine Partners. Dawn lives in West Lothian with her husband Dave, their gorgeous whippets Cammy & Georgie and their stunning tortoiseshell cat Hilda.
