Poynton

An independent art studio where artists of all ages can develop their creativity and gain self-confidence through visual art. Join our email list > "My daughter is enjoying art class very much and thus I am happy and satisfied. :) She actually said it helped her calm down on a day where she had gotten angry with her brother - now that's some good stuff! Thank you for inspiring them, and for all that you do!" Kyrie Shomaker, MD When she was a little girl, Melanie Cramer wanted to be an artist/ballerina/teacher/mommy. Apparently "ballerina" was code for business owner because now she teaches art in her own studio. Her path included earning an art degree from High Point College (now university), many years spent as an art director for print media, and many more teaching preschool locally. She founded Outside the Lines Art Studio in 2011 to share her belief in the transformative power of visual art with her community. Meet the Owner: Melanie Cramer IMG_2835.jpg At Outside the Lines Art Studio, we believe the process of creating is far more valuable that the resulting creation. An artist who has spent time exploring an art medium thoroughly may or may not produce a masterpiece worthy of professional framing and prominent display, but they will certainly produce something they are proud of, independent of others’ opinions. They will have expressed themselves to their own satisfaction. They will have experienced something new and learned from it. They will feel more self-assured and confident. Those are products you can’t hang on the wall, or even the fridge.

Multiflex School Sports

Altrincham

ABOUT US Multiflex School Sports was originally started in 1989 by athletics coaches Tom Davies and Ron Newton. The original company name was T & R Sports Development. T & R Sports Development were given financial backing by ICI and later Astra Zeneca to deliver a sporting programme to Primary schools and High Schools to enthuse young children about sport. This programme used high achievers in sport such as Great Britain international athletes and professional Basketball players to deliver a programme that not only developed fitness and skill levels of young children but increased their enjoyment of sport and gave them a route into sports clubs outside of the school environment. Following the success of this programme Multiflex Sports was formed and went on to continue this sporting programme with local authorities and also Sports-hall athletics and Eveque sport and leisure. In 2005 the government introduced P.P.A. (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) to all UK Primary Schools. This meant that all teachers would then be allocated 2 hours a week away from their class timetable to make use of their PPA time effectively. Coincidently 2 hours a week is also the amount of time each child should receive P.E. lessons for so Multiflex altered their business model to provide PPA cover for schools in and around Cheshire. Mark Webb who is the Managing director of Multiflex realised there was an opportunity to provide high quality P.E. lessons in line with the National curriculum guidance on a weekly basis, whilst also providing support for schools and teachers through PPA cover. Multiflex developed a P.E. scheme for Primary schools that covered 6 areas of sport in line with the curriculum. The areas are as follows: Athletics Dance Gymnastics Invasion Games Striking and Fielding Net and Wall

Utilising diverse skills and talents makes excellent business sense. When diversity is valued and an equitable, inclusive culture prevails, people feel safe to be themselves. Staff and students are more engaged and more productive. Over recent years, great strides have been made on a legal level towards making organisations more inclusive, however knowing how to do so takes a little extra help. In our ideal world, equality, diversity and inclusion would become so completely embedded across society that our services would no longer be required… but until that happens, here we are to help you on your EDI journey. We offer a free and friendly consultation call to discuss your training requirements. If you’re not quite sure what an EDI training course should entail, you can trust us to use our knowledge and experience to advise on the length and content of the session to ensure your training needs are met. We employ a range of teaching styles and resources to cater for different learning styles to allow delegates to discuss, debate, ask questions and explore real-life situations in context. We are Approachable We pride ourselves in being friendly and approachable. You’ll get that from our emails, phone calls and in the training session itself. We recognise that EDI can feel like an uncomfortable topic, so establishing a safe space is super important.
