Why do we want to provide training? The Aesthetic Training Rooms LTD was born following setting up our own aesthetic clinic during the Covid-19 Pandemic. As a Dentist and Dental Therapist, we have over 30 years of combined experience in dentistry but both of us wanted a career to move outside of dentistry. We both enjoyed the Aesthetic aspect of Dentistry, allowing us to see immediate results for patients. When we both initially trained our interest grew and motivated us to train harder in many procedures and courses available to us. We have been in a position where we have researched the best providers of aesthetic courses with the best reports but, in some cases, we didn’t feel we were given good value for money. The courses lacked content, models and follow up care. Gone are the days where you can set up a business on lip fillers and toxin alone. Patients require a more holistic approach to their aesthetic journey. This is where we feel we can support the aesthetic practitioner who wants to provide more for their patients. We provide accredited courses in microneedling, chemical peels and mesotherapy. We are both registered providers to train on behalf of WOW Fusion and Dr Helen is a Key Opinion Leader for Karisma, she recently lectured about this product at FACE Conference

We are situated 1.5 miles south of Durham City centre at Houghall Farm, Houghall Campus, East Durham College, just off the A177. Our flying grounds are primarily within Houghall woods, a local attraction during the Spring for its blooms of wild bluebells. Houghall farm is a mixed livestock and arable farm, which dates back to the 12th century, with a history of monks growing and harvesting crops and sheep for use in the Cathedral, Cloisters and Castle. Houghall farm and its surrounding woods and ponds are home to a wealth of British wildlife, which our customers often have the delight of encountering on their falconry experiences. What we offer We offer one-to-one and group falconry experiences with birds of prey. We fly hawks, falcons, owls and eagles over 450 acres of farm and woodland. We offer our customers the opportunities to get up-close and personal with a range of birds of prey through static and flying demonstrations, hawk walks, training and craft skills, and Raptor Awards courses. We also offer art and photography sessions and educational talks. We are an inclusive business and can offer falconry experiences regardless of customer capabilities. Priority Care was founded in 1987 by old friends and business partners, Andy Prior Snr. & Benny Reilly when they opened St Vigean’s Care Home in Arbroath. Caring for adults with learning disabilities, their focus from day one was to support and enable their clients in all aspects of their life whilst making them feel completely at home. Over the coming years Ben & Andy continued to develop and improve the company, acquiring and building new care homes in Tayside, Perthshire and Aberdeenshire. One of their proudest moments was opening their first purpose built facility, Harestane Care Home in 1995. Being built in Harestane Rd, Dundee this had a special meaning for Andy who had grown up with his brothers and sisters across the road and had many happy memories of playing along the Dighty Burn. By the late 90’s Andy & Ben’s sons and daughters had joined the family run business in a variety of different roles from caring to building maintenance. Andy’s eldest daughter, Veronica was appointed as Director of the groups care training company in 2005. Co-founder Ben left the company in 2010 after almost 25 years to pursue his passion for antiques opening a large antiques centre in Perthshire. Along with their team, Andy’s eldest son and daughter, Andy & Veronica have run the business since 2011 with a focus on maintaining the high quality of care Priority Care provides. On to its third generation, two of Andy Snr’s grandchildren now work in the homes. After being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, Andy Snr sadly passed away in Meigle Country House in 2018. Priority Care is his legacy which he, his good friend and family, along with their team, have worked tirelessly to build. Something we are all so proud of today. The Priority Care team is now almost 300 strong and cares for over 200 clients.

Who are we? We are Revved Up. We provide paid work experience for young people from L8 and the surrounding areas to prevent them from being involved in serious organised crime. What do we do? Young, disadvantaged people who are at risk are given opportunities to recruit for and co-facilitate youth projects, events and community consultations. During their time with us, young people are given the opportunity to join our list of members, contribute to/learn the operations/ day-to-day running of our community business, they are all also given personal development programmes, 1:1 coaching and mentoring, social prescribing and business start-up advice. We have regular staff trips and excursions to come up with ideas and celebrate recent successes, these are all chosen by the young people. Our community business originates from another organisation called This Is My Story Limited (TIMS). Over 5 years ago TIMS was founded by Phillip Taylor (1957-2021) Adam Taylor, Sophie Middleman, Mike Hobbs and Deborah Fitzsimmons. The purpose of this organisation was to work with disadvantaged young people involved in crime, drug activity, addiction and those who had severe mental health problems. Adam and his family have spent most of their lives in Toxteth L8 Liverpool and it is one of the most disadvantaged areas in the country. The majority of the work that TIMS did was in Toxteth working with young people (all of whom were referred by word of mouth) that needed help in one of these areas. When TIMS was 2 years old, our founder (Adam Taylor) noticed that the young people he was working with through TIMS expressed a desire to follow in his footsteps and decided to try and make that happen, that is when he started Revved Up Limited.
