Welcome to East Cornwall Divers! Based at the Torpoint Mosquito Sailing Club, in Torpoint, Cornwall, we are an active branch of the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) who regularly dive in Devon, Cornwall and further afield. We have our own RIB, kept afloat on a pontoon in Torpoint Yacht Harbour. We also have a single axle, braked trailer which we can use to take the boat on dive trips further afield. The club meets socially on a Wednesday evening from around 8pm. Our informal club night is an ideal opportunity to meet new and existing members to plan dives, discuss training and enjoy the view from the clubhouse with a drink! From time to time we arrange guest speakers or informal training sessions on a variety of subjects. Those who have never dived before are made just as welcome as those with many years of diving under their belts. Our club has members who have qualified and trained with many different agencies, from Ocean Divers to Advanced Instructors. Being onsite with the sailing club and yacht harbour means we benefit from their excellent facilities including storage, changing rooms, showers, a fully licenced bar, restaurant and easy access to our boat! We are a relatively small club with about 40 members. A few of these have hung up their dive gear for good and just turn up socially. We consider ourselves pretty friendly, don't take ourselves very seriously and are prone to an occasional bout of "milling around aimlessly". We meet at the K2 Lesiure Centre in Crawley every Thursday. We have use of the pool from 9pm but like to meet up to an hour before for a bit of training, organising the weekends diving or just some general chit-chat. We host a pretty active diving schedule throughout the year including dives off our club boat moored in Littlehampton, trips away to Portland & Dover and training days at Vobster, Wraysbury and other dive centres. COMING SOON As a club we also like to make the effort to get away with trips to the Red Sea, liveraboard voyages in the Maldives and Skiing in France Alongside all the diving, we like to keep our social calendar full. Whether its the Christmas do, Skittles and Pizza evenings or just meeting up for a swim on a Thursday night. This means that if you join our club then you join BSAC too. BSAC are the UK’s leading dive club and the sport’s National Governing Body, providing an internationally-recognised diver training and development programme.

Oxford BSAC Scuba Diving Club is the award-winning Oxford Branch of the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC). The branch was founded in 1956 – a few years after the BSAC itself, making it one of the oldest diving clubs formed in the UK. As you might imagine we have a rich history and some very experienced members. Our club is run entirely by volunteers. We train people to dive and snorkel but we also welcome qualified divers to join us (whoever they trained with). We organise regular diving trips to Dorset and inland sites. We run several trips a year to longer-range destinations – in the recent past, these have included the Red Sea, Gozo (Malta), Scapa Flow, Sound of Mull, Plymouth and the Isles of Scilly. We also have close relationships with other local BSAC branches including the Oxford University Underwater Exploration Group (OUUEG) with whom we often collaborate. The activities of the branch centre around three areas, the clubhouse, pool training and diving. We also carry a decent level of equipment and have a great hard boat moored in Weymouth – all of which help to make us a successful dive club which has been going for over 60 years. We are a mature club with a friendly and enthusiastic atmosphere. The branch has around 70 members from the Oxford area stretching from Bicester in the North to Didcot in the South and from Witney in the West to Aylesbury in the East. We even have some members who live here during the week and go home on weekends. We cover a good cross-section of Oxford society. Ages range from young children who snorkel to senior citizens that dive or who are social members. We are always happy to welcome new members, be they untrained novices, experienced divers or instructors – no matter who they have trained with. Corby And District Sub-Aqua Club (CADSAC) was formed in 1979. We are a member of the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) – the worlds largest scuba diving club, and are based in Corby, Northamptonshire. With members coming from not only Corby but all the surrounding towns and villages, CADSAC caters for both people wanting to learn to Scuba Dive and for already qualified divers looking for a friendly club. We provide our Members with quality training and varied diving throughout the UK as well as more adventurous and exotic diving abroad. Club Night We meet every Monday Night from 7.30pm in the Stewarts & Lloyds Cricket Club Pavilion, Cannock Road, Corby (just off Occupation Road near the old Stars Night Club). See Map Of location With different rooms within the pavillion our experienced Instructors teach new and intermediate divers the skills required to get in the water to have a safe and enjoyable dive. For one hour per week throughout the year between 9pm to 10pm we train at Corby International Swimming pool. It is used for novice training, checking new kit options, snorkel sports or just swimming. With the adjustable depth of the floor it makes the ideal place for novices and experienced divers train. Other Club members plan their upcoming diving expeditions, share their experiences or just catch up with a beer! Equipment To get you started the club has a limited amount of dive equipment which is available to borrow. The kit is intended for pool training use only, but due to the high cost of kit many new ‘club divers’ borrow this equipment for open water use for up to a year, whilst they decide if diving is the sport for them, or they become able to purchase their own equipment. Air fills are available for all club members from our own compressor and air bank. This handles up to 300 bar air cylinders, or up to 232 bar for 02 clear cylinders.
