Please come along and join me at my art workshops in acrylics, linocut printing and soft pastels in the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District.  Whether you are on holiday or living nearby, a novice or experienced - everyone is welcome.  I am a professional artist and was a heat semi-finalist in Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year competition 2022 I have exhibited with the Royal Society of British Artists and Royal Society of Marine Artist Mall Galleries, London.Wednesday workshops are located at my home studio. You have a choice of working in acrylics and/or mixed media, soft pastels or linocut printing.  Subjects include: landscapes, still life, abstract, portraits, etc.The workshops are fun, relaxing and informative.I also hold a Saturday Art Workshops advertised here.  I have a relaxed and informative approach to working with acrylics and mixed media and other techniques. I was a professional muralist for 11 years, specialising in trompe l'oeil (trick of the eye) techniques. Although photo realism painting in acrylics was essential in creating a painting illusion, I have also worked more recently with impasto and mixed media using acrylics which is an enjoyable and liberating experience.  I was a former member of the Association of Professional Muralists and have appeared on television and radio.I have a friendly dog called Phoebe! WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE PRICE? Lunch and refreshments, use of easels, brushes, aprons, etc.  if you would also like the use of all surfaces, paints, inks etc it is a. additional £10 payable on the day.

As a natural result of exploring the craft of acting - students learn more about themselves through character exploration, and so a natural bi-product of the course is the growth of the students self-development. Since then, my small business has gone from strength to strength. To reflect my ethos, all ingredients used are carefully sourced to produce the best quality products and are suitable for vegetarians and often vegans too. I now love sharing my passion for soap and candle making with my courses. I experience real joy and a sense of pride when I inspire others to create their own products, designed to care for their body, mind and soul. I have tutored hundreds of students in both group and bespoke one-to-one courses. Mec and Marcia are textiles and fibre artists! We are passionate about making things by hand, using as many natural fibres that we can get our hands on! Before we had some selling space, we ran a weekly Knit and Natter session, with a small selection of yarns. Then, it was suggested that we use some of the space in an existing indie shop in the heart of historic, royal Greenwich and in February 2017, Yarnarama was born! Many people tell us that there are too few yarn shops which sell 'real/natural' yarns. Acrylic is not what they're looking for and they are prepared to pay for quality wools, yarns and fibres. We sell some commercial and designer brand names, but we like to promote and sell indie yarn dyers, weavers and spinners, too. You can also find books, magazines and patterns to purchase for yourself or as a gift. As well as knitting and crocheting, we know how to felt, spin and weave. I trained professionally as a textile designer at Chelsea School of Art and completed a Master of Philosophy in constructed textiles at Middlesex University. I worked freelance and taught Art & Design at various colleges in and around London before setting up my own business in 1993. The company supplied computer aided design technology, training & consultancy to the clothing industry for over 20 years.

From our south Devon base, we hand-craft stunning lamps, tables, chairs and desks using a ‘slow’ and sustainable methodology that relies on low energy and simple technology – a refreshing change to otherwise fast-paced, mass-produced furniture. We regularly exhibit work in London and across the UK. Peter is available for commissions, and runs popular woodworking courses at his workshop – just a short stroll from the stunning south Devon coastline. Peter is also an award-winning member of the Devon Guild, an organisation that supports contemporary crafts.

Creating memories through the power of scent I haven’t always been a Chandler (Candle Maker) but I have always been intrigued by our sense of smell and how it can evoke strong memories and emotions. I have an ability to be able to distinguish the various components of scents which enables me to advise on the selection of a fragrance for a particular person or occasion. These skills ensure I can produce a unique and perfect scent style for each of my clients, which will last in their memories for ever. Having travelled the globe in my early twenties, I love different cultures but these days have a penchant for travelling 5*. Since my journey began with scents, I have been transported back to many a destination through smell. I love great food but hate to excercise, give me a fast car over any shoes and I love sport if it involves a large hat and of course…….champagne. Skills For thirty years I worked mainly in the Hair and Beauty Industry. Working all over the world as a Technical Consultant, working in management and running my own businesses. Briefly the proprietor of a Ladies Boutique and have experience in Property Development. My creative skills and business acumen bring me to where I am today.
