"We encourage, enable, develop, mentor, facilitate, empower and support local creative arts practitioners from a wide range of backgrounds." Since our Foundation, in September 2014, we have staged over 120 exhibitions showcasing a varied body of work, by artists both emerging and established. Encompassing a diverse and multi-disciplinary range of artistic practices including: Painting, Sculpture, Printmaking, Illustration, Photography, Sound, Video and Performance Art. Our overarching ‘Philosophy’ is to actively encourage, enable, develop, mentor, facilitate, empower and support local creative arts practitioners from a wide range of background with a priority to engage in discussion around accessibility within the arts in relation to mental health, financial hardship and institutional bias. We have also provided work placements to a number of European students, via the Erasmus + and Gecko programme. Partnering with local Venues, Institutes and schools , we aim to develop a strong community that has access to free space, free mentoring and the ability to grow and learn from each others valuable experience and skills. The spaces are offered for hire and for free depending on the nature of the request and is offered to both emerging artists or collectives that deserve a space to explore and harness potential, or established artists with a strong visual aesthetic. Our initiative is to offer this space first and foremost to west-midlands based artists who wish to strengthen their local artistic community and create a discourse for regeneration. We curate approx one show per month in our two exhibition spaces and these are either from chosen submitted proposals or from exceptional and forward thinking artists that we find on our travels. In-between these exhibitions we encourage groups or collectives with a passion for community welfare and development to use the spaces for poetry , music, discussions, rehearsals , workshops or their own curatorial interests. I love textiles! The colours, textures, the way they are made, their cultural and historical meanings – all of these things fascinate me. I have collected textiles for as long as I can remember. Being a lampshade maker and upholsterer allows me to work with all sorts of fabrics and I revel in making unique, one of a kind peices of furniture and ligting.

Beatrice Hoffman has worked as a sculptor since her sculpture degree 1986-89 at the Norwich School of Art, mainly modelling in clay and plasticine, but also carving in stone, wood, plaster, polystyrene and expandable foam. Originally from Germany, she has settled in a small village near Oxford, where she sculpts in her conservatory studio , and under a gazebo in the summer. As you can see from her website gallery, the sizes of her sculptures vary from domestic small figures for windowsills, chimney breasts and coffee tables to middle sized (60-90 cm tall) garden und indoor sculptures on plinths or furniture, and freestanding life-size large public and private commissions 200 cm high, suitable for gardens, large interior reception halls and offices. A few of her sculptures can be found in the gallery “The Art Agency” in Esher near London. To buy a sculpture, you can also approach her directly via phone, video/zoom or email; or alternatively arrange a studio visit. Once a year in May she opens her studio with “Oxford Arts Weeks” (OAW) . You can find the retail prices of sculptures beside the individual sculpture images on this website; this price does not include anything else but the sculpture. Costs for courier and crates ( for larger sculpture only) and tax (VAT and Local destination Tax duty) are NOT included in the price. Please contact your Customs authority to enquire about the costs of tax; Beatrice will let you know about the courier costs. She sends sculptures world-wide via courier. The prices on the website are for bronze-resin casts; bronze casts can be commissioned , with a 50% downpayment and on average, a six weeks lead-time. If necessary and possible, she can advise on siting a newly-bought sculpture and the choice of plinths.

We provide gliding club membership, glider flying training and lauching of gliders by winch and aerotow. We also provide Gliding Experience flights so people can try out gliding. The club is run by the members for the members.
