Based in Glasgow in the award winning Trongate 103, we manage an accessible and professional studio and deliver a year-round programme of workshops, masterclasses, training and exhibitions. We reach out and connect people and communities across Scotland. We are a strong and vibrant community of artists and those taking part learn skills and gain confidence from working alongside their peers. Networking and opportunities for professional development enable people to build a career in the arts. Our gallery and shop promotes the artists and their work, delights audiences and provides sales opportunities for the artists.

Our school supports students in developing creative confidence and finding courage through a range of icon painting courses and workshops open to students at all levels. Edinburgh School of Icon Painting was founded in September 2013. It is a small school based in the artist hub St. Margaret's House. The school mission is to teach icon painting (writing) to people of all different backgrounds but at the same time maintaining the ethos and essence of it's spirituality. Introducing this unique form of art to students of the school I introduce a way of practising art which is different the other forms of art and it is said to be more then just art. Students learn egg tempera technique which has been used in art for centuries and it is one of the most lasting painting techniques. There are still reasonably well preserved icons from VI Century. Egg tempera involves preparing own paints using egg yolk and dry pigments. Through the whole process of work we try to limit synthetic materials. Using organic materials helps to develop a connection with nature and in consequence with the Divine. Basia Mindewicz - founder and teacher. Born in 1978. Graduated from The Maria Grzegorzewska Academy of Special Education, MA and College of Iconography (Policealne Studium Ikonograficzne) in Bielsk Podlaski in 2008. Dudley

Rooted by materials, training and history to The Black Country village of the same name for over thirty years, using clay and metal to make truly unique pieces of use. At Woodsetton two generations and an upcoming third, have made their livings as designer makers for over 50 years. David Bates, a furniture designer and manufacture, and Gill Bates an antique dealer, later came together to work with pewter. The Victorian house and workshops which housed their early business was built by the Parkes family of Iron founders who were descendants of Abraham Derby 1st, and so there has been a long line of metal working at this address. For the latter 30 years Lorraine Bates has run a pottery here using stoneware and metal to make pieces of use. The combination of these two materials has an illustrious history in the Black Country in the shape of The Ruskin Pottery who made stoneware in The Arts and Crafts tradition and ethos which is still a strong influence on our work. Lorraine Bates and the team at Woodsetton, now have a history of making for galleries, museums and exhibitions in the UK, America, Japan and Europe.

Stevie Davies Glass Artist & Tutor. I love being a professional, full time creative, running my thriving studio gallery in Wirksworth, Derbyshire and sharing my passion for glass and all things hand crafted. With over 17 years experience of working with glass, exhibiting and teaching, I have a lot of talk about :) Glass is such a beautiful material – it is very familiar to us but can be unpredictable and I find that a lot of my process plays with the dual nature of glass. It is solid and translucent, hard but delicate. I like to highlight the surface shine of glass by applying specific finishes and individual handmade elements. One of my passions is teaching others to design and create with glass through teaching workshops and creating make at home kits. Enabling you to have a go and play with glass brings me a lot of joy!

Whether revealing the hidden body parts that few get to see, or putting an ear on a butter dish, Hot Fox Pottery ceramics are all unique and designed to be beautiful pieces of art that you can use every day. You can commission a special piece of pottery with your own body part rendered in clay, or choose a 'generic genital' version. It's not all body bits; there are octopus candelabras, jellyfish wall hangings, mugs, salt pigs, bowls etc. which you would be happy to give to your grandmother (or even someone younger!) Pieces can be ordered or have a look at my online shop to see what I have in stock. I run regular classes and you can book one-off workshops in my lovely loft studio in Brighton, and offer studio and kiln hire too.
