Description

Join artist Julie Galante for this series of live online workshops delivered via Zoom to a small, interactive, welcoming group. We’ll find our inspiration in the stunning city skylines of the world as we experiment with line drawing, shading and value, texture, and composition. In between sessions, participants are encouraged to go out into their local cities and towns to fill their sketchbooks with ideas. Julie will also provide an array of her photographs to use as reference images, featuring Edinburgh, New York, Assisi, Tokyo, and more.

This course is suitable for a variety of experience levels, whether you’re new to drawing or you’ve got a bit of experience under your belt. We’ll use various basic drawing materials, including charcoal, pencil, and pen and ink. By the end of the course, you’ll have more confidence when approaching any kind of drawing.
